Alex Salmond, the First Minister of Scotland, is Scotland's #1 salmon sell-out.
By selling wild salmon down the river to fuel the expansion of Norwegian-owned salmon farms to feed the Chinese market, the SNP is putting one of Scotland’s iconic animals at risk. Scottish farmed salmon may be made in Scotland but it is controlled by Norwegian multinationals and sold in the Far East including Japan and China.
Visit Scotland will have to add hundreds of new salmon cages to Scotland’s vista in view of the SNP’s plans to increase salmon farming production by 50% by 2020.
The First Minister of Scotland is shamefully placing the short-term interests of foreign-owned fish farms first and is sacrificing the long-term future of Scotland's iconic wild salmon.
Under the Scottish National Party, Scotland is for sale and the whole of the Scottish coastline is up for grabs in an "Everything Must Go" closing down sale before the Vote for Independence in 2014.
