Pupils at Gayton Primary School on the Wirral led the School Strike 4 Climate in Liverpool today (20 September) despite being warned off by Wirral Borough Council.
Fionn Staniford (Reception) and Elseanne Staniford (Year 1) were joined by Elseanne's buddy Inca Van Rooy (Year 6) who led the protest march through Liverpool city centre.
Fionn (aged 4) needed a Jacob Rees-Mogg style power nap before the march.
But the Gayton girls had stamina in abundance and dealt nervelessly with media interviews (including the BBC and local radio).
Supported every step of the way by their proud mums.
And other children who had defied warnings to attend school instead of the climate protests.
