Here's the BBC Look North evening news report (27 March 2023):
Iceland's state broadcaster RUV - and other Icelandic media - picked up on the BBC News story:

The Real Salmon Farming Resistance stayed on board the John Paul Dejoria on Sunday (26 March 2023) and had the pleasure of meeting Captain Locky Maclean who explained more about the mission ahead for the flagship vessel in Neptune's Navy:
As Captain Locky Maclean explained, the John Paul Dejoria is a former Scottish Fisheries Protection Agency patrol vessel called the Vigilant and will be heading to the United States for World Oceans Day (8 June 2023) via Scotland before heading to Iceland:

The Shetland Islands has been a frequent stop en route to the Faroe Islands during previous anti-whaling missions.
I may well stowaway on board for the mission ahead!
The Vigilant - built by Ferguson Brothers in the Port of Glasgow in 1982 - has had an interesting history:
Both Captain Locky Maclean and Captain Paul Watson - who will be joining the John Paul Dejoria in the United States - have a track record of direct action in the defence of whales:
I've been a long admirer of both Captain Paul Watson and Captain Locky Maclean - ocean warriors who have campaigned tirelessly against salmon farming and have exposed shocking welfare abuse inside salmon farms.
Thankfully, the John Paul Dejoria will be farmed salmon free with crew members taking the pledge never to eat toxic salmon!
The Real Salmon Farming Resistance will be tracking the progress of the John Paul Dejoria and wishes the whole crew a safe trip - and hopefully they have time to stop off at salmon farms in Scotland on the way to Iceland (or the way back). Best fishes!
Woop woop - I've been awarded a 'Captain Paul Watson Medal for Courage in Defense of the Ocean'! https://t.co/XzUCoakBmP @seashepherd @SeaShepherdScot @seashepherd_uk
