The bad news just keeps on coming for investors and shareholders in The Scottish Salmon Company (renamed Bakkafrost Scotland in June 2022). Fish Farmer reported yesterday (3 October 2022):
Bakkafrost’s Scotland arm saw losses double in 2021 - "compromised gill health and secondary complications including blooms of micro jellyfish and fish handling during necessary treatments" @ScotlandSalmon @Folketrygdfond @NFdep #Bakkafrost https://t.co/y7oei699W7

Fish Farming Expert reported (3 October 2022):
Bakkafrost's 2021 Annual Report certainly makes for grim reading for Scotland:

Here's photos of disease-ridden farmed salmon from RSPCA Assured Bakkafrost Scotland (called The Scottish Salmon Company until June 2022) in Loch Roag at Taranaish - sourced from a Scottish Government inspection conducted in December 2021 (the Fish Health Inspectorate reported salmon gill poxvirus, epitheliocystis, Infectious Pancreatic Necrosis, and Neoparamoeba perurans, the causative agent of Amoebic Gill Disease):
The bad smell coming from Bakkafrost - whose largest shareholder is the Norwegian Government - reeks of rotten eggs. The news of Bakkafrost Scotland leaking dangerous toxic gasses off Portree - as reported in August 2022 by BBC News, The Press & Journal, The National and other media - comes as no surprise to anyone who has tracked The Scottish Salmon Company since it reared its ugly head in Scotland back in 2009 (bankrolled by $almoney-launderer Yury Lopatinsky).
