Caught on candid camera - The Scottish Salmon Company claim to have an EPS licence to use ADDs at their salmon farm at West Strome in Loch Carron https://t.co/vvP9mJfXF1

I thought there were no EPS licences issued for ADDs on salmon farms! @nature_scot @marinescotland @SSPOsays
@patrickharvie @lornaslater @MairiGougeon @NicolaSturgeon Irrespective of any ADD policy can kicking, the current use of ADDs without EPS licence is a Habitats 39 offence. Why is government allowing these crimes against protected species to continue? I did not vote for this! https://t.co/N4gqdpoK0A

This is a complete barefaced lie from @SSPOsays. We have recently gathered plenty of corroborated evidence that your members are still using ADDs that are known to disturb cetaceans which are also considered not to be MMPA compliant.

Surveying for Acoustic Deterrent Devices in Loch Fyne & Loch Striven found almost every active salmon farm using ADDs. Every farm was operated by Faroese/Norwegian-owned 'Scottish' Salmon Company @salmon_scottish @Folketrygdfond @Try_Lochlander @SSPOsays https://t.co/wcTHtY3oSO pic.twitter.com/J6zsOzrzOA

From our investigation of The Scottish Salmon Company in Loch Carron (a Marine Protected Area) last week it would seem that salmon farmers still need to be educated on the illegality of ADDs! https://t.co/eMzU9mvsHA and https://t.co/vvP9mJfXF1 pic.twitter.com/Co05MiDm6a

We have evidence of 15 fish farms operating ADDs illegally without EPS license and clearly over the 120dB disturbance threshold. Many more farms have the ADD equipment fitted but not currently in production cycle.
