Surely factory salmon farming is inherently unsustainable? A case for Trading Standards @HighlandCouncil pic.twitter.com/xXE5saEPuL
Applecross Smokehouse is deceiving customers with their false claims of "sustainable" salmon.
Applecross Smokehouse's web-site claims that "Our Scottish Salmon is sourced from sustainable fisheries in the Scottish Highlands and is RSPCA Assured":
Applecross Smokehouse's web-site claims: "RSPCA Assured, (previously Freedom Food), is the RSPCA’s ethical food label dedicated to farmed animal welfare. Their vision is for all farmed animals to have a good life and to be treated with compassion and respect".
Surely the RSPCA should send inspectors into salmon farms to stop suffering & cruelty rather than receive ££££££s via certification? @rspcaassured @RSPCA_Amy @RSPCA_official @RachRSPCA @RSPCA_LabAnimal @RSPCAChris @WainwrightChris @CarolineLDNvet https://t.co/oFC20taxzO #RSPCA pic.twitter.com/FN69jUfGwy

Compassion in World Farming certainly take issue with the RSPCA's vision of "compassion and respect" shown by RSPCA Assured salmon farms. Here's video footage of RSPCA Assured salmon farms published by Compassion in World Farming and OneKind in March 2021.
Here's photos of RSPCA Assured Scottish salmon showing a painfully abject lack of compassion and respect.

In February 2020, Scottish Salmon Watch wrote to the RSPCA asking them to stop certifiying 'welfare friendly' farmed salmon.
