Judas sold out Jesus for thirty pieces of silver. According to documents finally disclosed by the Scottish Government via Freedom of Information earlier today (28 September 2020) it seems that the Atlantic Salmon Trust's going rate for betrayal of Salmo Salar - the King of Fish - is £300,000 per year.
How much blood money has the disease-ridden salmon farming industry given to buy off wild fish groups? @AST_Salmon @fms_scotland https://t.co/H5siw5DAlq @MowiScotlandLtd @scotseafarms @salmon_scottish @GriegShetland @kamesfishfarm @marinescotland @SSPOsays @HamishMacdonell pic.twitter.com/ct80WIDBz8

SAD DAY | Is salmon farming set to become largest private funder of the Atlantic Salmon Trust? Documents released after...
Posted by Inside Scottish Salmon Feedlots on Monday, September 28, 2020
A Freedom of Information request disclosed by the Scottish Government in December 2019 made publicly available some documents but refused others.
However, earlier this month the Scottish Government had a change of heart and disclosed more documents following an appeal to the Scottish Information Commissioner by Corin Smith.
The Scottish Government finally published these documents earlier today (28 September 2020):
The documents disclosed by the Scottish Government via FOI/19/02451 included an email detailing how the Atlantic Salmon Trust "will be looking for money":
Other documents disclosed in September 2020 by the Scottish Government via FOI/19/02451 included:
The Patron of the Atlantic Salmon Trust is HRH the Prince of Wales.
Sadly, HRH the Prince of Wales's notion of 'sustainability' is Mowi's disease-ridden salmon farms!
Last month (20 August 2020), the Scottish Government slipped out more Freedom of Information documents replied to back on 28 July 2020 on the 'West Coast Salmon Smolt Tracking Project' (but explained "due to the size of the files we are unable to upload the documents"):
Documents disclosed indicated that the project had been delayed until 2021 due to Coronavirus restrictions and the threat of "unacceptable financial losses":
Other documents disclosed stated that "AST negotiated assistance from Mowi for deployments this year and we would hope that arrangement can be rolled forward" and referred to further "industry assistance":
Other documents revealed that in June 2020 the AST and Fisheries Management Scotland (FMS) were on the hunt for more money with "potential private funders" in their sights.
Another email (redacted so it is impossible to know who sent it) refers to Mowi "proportionately contributing a lot":
Another email disclosed referred to the Scottish Salmon Producers Organisation (SSPO) - the lobby group promoting the disease-ridden salmon farming industry - as playing a role in "over strategy and assurance of delivery":
The Scottish Government refused to disclose other documents claiming:
Other documents were redacted to such an extent that it rendered them useless:
The same day (20 August 2020), the Scottish Government posted online another FOI disclosure responded to on 28 July 2020:
The Scottish Government disclosed some information in March 2020 but refused other information and redacted other documents:
A Decision Notice (097/2020) issued last month by the Scottish Information Commissioner may open the floodgates to more documents detailing how salmon farming companies are funding fishery groups charged with protecting wild salmon.

Documents disclosed in March 2020 included:
An email obtained from the Scottish Government via Freedom of Information on 23 June 2020 (EIR 202000018350) shows how Norwegian salmon farming giant Mowi is quite literally steering the course for the controversial West Coast Salmon Smolt Tracking Project.
