"It's official - Scottish farmed salmon is now the worst in the world," said Don Staniford, Director of the Global Alliance Against Industrial Aquaculture. "Scottish salmon farming is a global embarrassment and red warning lights can be seen all over the globe. You can put lipstick on a salmon but it's still a farmed salmon loaded with lice, doused on toxic pesticides, contaminated with cancer-causing chemicals and artificially coloured an unnatural red colour. The warning message to consumers is simple: avoid Scottish salmon like the plague and stop eating such a lousy product!"
