A groundswell of public opposition to the expansion of salmon farming is being felt in the waters off the West coast of Scotland.
"I think it is fair to say that I have never experienced the weight of objections to a fish farm proposal that I have seen in this proposal," wrote Michael Russell MSP to Fergus Ewing, Cabinet Secretary for Rural Economy and Connectivity in a letter dated 7 February 2017.
