The backlash against farmed fish being fed Land Animal Protein (LAP) gathered momentum this week when a French trout farmer pledged to boycott chicken, pig and beef products in their farmed fish. Undercurrent News reported today (26 February):
The French media reported yesterday (25 February):
With the provenance of food now higher up the political agenda following the horsemeat scandal and the European market still quaking from the BSE scare, it seems that farmed salmon fed on chicken and pork products may be too much for most consumers to stomach. Be safe not sorry and boycott ALL farmed salmon!
If I wanted chicken I'd go to Kentucky Fried Chicken not eat farmed salmon!
Until all retailers and fish farmers ban Land Animal Protein, watch out for a new product range of "Looney Salmon" including 'Porky Pig' and 'Foghorn Leghorn' flavoured farmed salmon!
